About Angela

Hello! I am Angela McCree, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with certification in Clinical Trauma. I offer more than just therapy; I provide a sanctuary for transformation. After receiving my Masters of Education in Counseling and Development from Lamar University, I have dedicated my career to serving others. I've had the privilege of supporting my fellow veterans as a Community Care Mental Health Provider, guiding individuals through addiction as a Recovery Center Group Facilitator and Educator, and operating my own practice for three years. Today, my San Antonio-based practice is dedicated to helping individuals break generational cycles, reconnect with their authentic selves, and thrive beyond survival. I proudly serve BIPOC communities, professionals, military and veterans, first responders, educators and their families. Shining a light on the importance of those who often hold space for others, making the choice to hold space for themselves. I specialize in treating complex trauma,, attachment injuries, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and burnout. My therapeutic approach is integrative, grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and clinical depth.I believe that healing happens in safe, attuned relationships-and that the most effective therapy honors the whole person: mind, body, and soul. I bring a trauma-informed, integrative lens to every session, you can expect open, honest, and compassionate communication. I strive to create a grounded and calming space where you can show up exactly as you are-no need to perform, explain, or shrink yourself. My tone is warm, respectful, and direct when needed, always centered on safety and trust. I listen closely, speak with intention, and attune to both what’s said and what’s felt. I hold space with cultural awareness, clinical precision, and deep care, so you feel seen-not just as a client, but as a whole person. Whether we’re processing trauma, exploring patterns, or utilizing new tools, I’ll meet you with curiosity, not judgment, and help you navigate the process at a pace that feels right for you; and with deep respect for your lived experience. I believe that every client is the expert of their own life, so whether you are seeking relief, reconnection, or renewal, I am here to walk beside you. Healing is your right and I am here to help you claim it. Read more Show less
