About Andrew
Hi, I'm Andrew Cuevas, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. My approach is collaborative and straightforward. I don't believe therapy should feel like someone sitting across from you telling you how to live your life. Instead, my role is to help you better understand what you're experiencing, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools to help you move toward the life you want. My clinical experience includes working with individuals facing depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, and significant life transitions. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while recognizing that therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. I work collaboratively with clients to develop an approach that reflects their individual goals, values, culture, and life experiences. I also believe that experiencing difficult emotions does not automatically mean something is wrong with you. Sadness, fear, anger, anxiety, and other uncomfortable emotions are part of being human. Therapy can help us understand what those experiences are communicating, recognize patterns in how we respond to them, and develop healthier and more intentional ways of moving forward. Whether you're struggling with something specific or simply feel stuck and aren't sure where to begin, we can start there. You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where we can make sense of what you're experiencing and work toward meaningful change together. Read more Show less
