About Amy

My name is Amy Svoboda, LPC, CCTP, ASDCS and I am a licensed professional counselor, born and raised in North Texas, along with two amazing sons. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. As a therapist and director, I have worked with many patients and/or clients from different backgrounds. I have worked with many people including individuals, couples, and families in a number of settings. Patients with significant mental health histories, or individuals, couples, and families needing shorter term therapy. I have studied and taught many psychology courses and am passionate about combining knowledge and research to support and enhance the clients’ experience of therapy. I work with such issues as depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar, grief, trauma, chronic pain/illness, and many more areas of concern or change. I have seen and experienced many aspects of mental health which influence the work I do. I am blessed to see clients that can learn and grow and become self-aware, moving towards more fulfilling lives. Described as kind, supportive, and knowledgeable, my clients and I work on finding and creating healthier ways to overcome past, present, and/or future issues. I use an integrated approach which pulls from several ways to best fit client needs, avoiding "one size fits all". If my style, experience, and method seem to meet your needs, I would be honored to work with you. Read more Show less
