About me

Hello all, my name is Amy Silberman and I have dedicated the last 25 years of my life to the world of social work. I did rewarding work in helping families find special need babies to adopt into their home. I worked with post-partum Moms and some prenatal ones with social issues. The last 16 years my work has been primarily with families who kids have orthopedic and rheumatologic conditions. My approach is very kind and gentle. I am curious to learn about you. I will be listening and let you share what led you into therapy and what you’d like to get out of therapy in our first session. We will set short term goals and long term goals so you can notice your progress. I tend to work on a strengths perspective and recently became a Health and Life Coach too so I’ll be adding in my rah rahs to know I’m on your team to help you. I feel I can be of help since I am quite empathic and focus on the needs of my clients. I have been told for years that I’m a good listener and listening and reflecting back what a client says is what I feel is key to helping positive changes occur. Let’s give it a try.
