About me

I have long dreamed of becoming a therapist due to the positive impact therapy has had on my life. As a young girl, my mother took me to a counselor to help me process my parents’ separation, prior to their divorce. There was quite a significant change for me in many ways as I was aided through the painful transition in my family. It was during this time that I started to realize the impacts counseling had on my life. It also began to grow a need within me to serve others in much the same way I had received. Recognizing the importance of my first counseling experience, I continued to seek counseling on and off throughout the years myself. I truly believe that I would be a different person, potentially lost in a dark place, were not for therapy. Because of the positive impacts therapy have had on me during my life, it is my passion to pay that forward and positively impact those in need of help and guide those in need of new paths. I graduated from Wayne State University with a Masters in Counseling. My professional roles have included special education teacher, and counselor. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, teens, and parents. My education and career path, coupled with my life experiences have molded me into the person and counselor I am today.
