About me

Welcome. I hope you find insight here! As a licensed psychotherapist & clinical supervisor, I value a practical understanding of holistic medicine. Coming from a “seasoned” lens with almost two decades of clinical experience, my approach relies heavily on evidence-based technique, research and natural instinct. With gratitude, I invite you to explore details of my treatment approach & scope of practice below. If you prefer client commentary, please skip to my reviews! They are 100% voluntary, as direct feedback is essential to my approach. With a board certification in clinical supervision, I prioritize the lifelong pursuit of research & continued education. I believe wholeheartedly that transparency & accountability are essential for long term growth. Healing is a collaborative process. The meaningful learning happens during a gentle balance of partnership. My passion for counseling psychology, intertwined with formalized education have been necessary to develop the awareness necessary to provide services as a skilled therapist. Clinical intuition & self-discovery through experience have naturally resulted in what I believe to be my own fundamental purpose as a healer. In addition to what I’ve detailed above: my devotion to motherhood, my commitment to faith and my belief in the power of recovery all combined enhance an already strong intuition. Through self-discovery and overcoming trials as a woman in medicine, I was thrilled to accept a divine purpose, expanding from psychotherapist, onto utilizing a gift of clinical leadership. I am grateful & overjoyed to recently celebrate ten years of sobriety in November of 2024. I believe my sobriety personally enhances my ability to practice the fundamentals of recovery, and to help guide those suffering in active addiction. My experience is vital in the guidance I provide to clients as they locate their chosen path to healing. Most clients naturally gravitate to my intentional transparency. Helping clients focus on their own self-discovery is a rewarding journey of partnership that involves a gentle balance of grace, respect and humility. My individual experience as a practitioner is separate, unique and secondary to client needs. Almost two decades ago, I discovered my dream to formalize the leadership of therapists during licensure. Gaining this certification intensified my love & commitment to the field and I consider this role of clinical mentorship a true honor. My partnership with Betterhelp allows me to use a flexible approach as an independent practitioner. I contract with organizations that respect this independence, allowing variety and a relaxed structure. My choice to maintain small caseloads allows me an ability to commit to individual needs & prioritize the well-being of each client I’ve pre-selected. This is a process I prefer to customize to ensure therapeutic trust. Most notable feedback from former clients: I am attentive, nurturing, flexible, knowledgeable and direct in my communication. I find that my own authenticity is fundamental to my essence as a human, just as transparency underlies all healthy attachment. My theoretical style has evolved over many years of formal practice. I continue to seek proficiency in advanced training, where I hope to prioritize skilled techniques using: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness & Internal Family Systems. Solution-focused CBT, TF-CBT. With specialized understanding in trauma recovery, I believe that we all have the ability to heal. Only you hold the power to transform your life. This directly requires accountability, openness and honesty. Responsibility for your healing is fundamental to this process. My role in this partnership is dependent on the value of client effort! I provide support, validation and accountability – just as I enforce and practice boundaries. Other fundamentals like confrontation and psychoeducation provide the groundwork BEST for healing. My faith adds a necessary layer of unique impartiality to my role. This detail is important to acknowledge as my spiritual beliefs overlap with a unique awareness that I believe transcends the collective, mind, body and soul. Using the necessary structure of standard practice with the appropriate evidence-based techniques, only licensed psychotherapists possess the exclusive legal responsibility and ethical liability to provide safe, legitimate medical care. Verifiable benefit is shown through statistical evidence with insured, licensed practitioners. My ultimate priority as a licensed psychotherapist is to provide the emotional safety that ensures healing for my clients. I am verified by Psychology Today, a member of the National Counseling Association & several others. I believe that NO obstacle is superior against the profound strength of human connection & willpower! An OPEN heart is always the ONLY requirement for outpatient treatment. Thank you for the time you’ve chosen to spend with my words. I hope you’ve found insight in the details shared! Please feel free to join my wait list today!
