About me

Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my approach to counseling. I have a master’s degree in clinical psychology and I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois. Some of my interests include depression, anxiety, difficulty coping with life changes, career and school issues, and relationship difficulties. I have a special interest in depression and anxiety due to chronic and acute illness. The easiest way to sum up my view of counseling is to share with you one of my favorite quotes by Lao Tzu: “If you are depressed, you are living in the past, if you are anxious, you are living in the future, and if you are at peace, you are living in the present”. I think this quote says so much about the nature of depression that is often rooted in the past and anxiety that is typically rooted in fear of the things that have not happened yet. My greatest strength is making my clients feel comfortable and safe when sharing their most personal concerns as I walk alongside of them on their journey of healing.
