About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mindfulness Practitioner. I have been a counselor for over 18+ years in Maine and South Carolina. I have worked in a variety of settings, with clients of ranging in ages from 13 to 75, with a wide range of concerns such as dealing with grief and loss, low self esteem. Mood disorders such as depression, bi-polar, and anxiety. I help individuals evaluate current life satisfaction and set goals to increase that satisfaction level. I am also an addictions specialist. My counseling style is empathetic, warm, supportive, and non-judgmental. My goal is to always meet my client were they are. You are the expert on you. My job is to support and help guide you along your journey to wellness.. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines and may use several theories and techniques that include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and Solution Focused strategies. Asking for help is difficult, I applaud you for taking the first step in taking control of your emotional wellness. I look forward to working with you!
