About me

Hello! My name is Amanda, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Connecticut with over seven years of direct clinical experience with children, adolescents, young adults and families. I have worked in both the in-home setting and outpatient setting, with clients that identify with a wide range of mental health and behavioral challenges including, trauma, depression, anxiety, family issues, parenting issues, communication issues, self-esteem, and LGBTQIA+ issues. I provide trauma informed care to individuals, couples, and families, with compassion and understanding, as it is my true passion in life to provide quality mental health care to individuals and families. My approach to therapy can be described as strength-based, and client centered, with emphasis on empathy and compassion! I strive to treat every client with dignity and respect, and the values of integrity, honesty, and social justice are very important to me and my work as a Social Worker. I am fully trained in Functional Family Therapy, and can provide therapy from a cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, or psychotherapeutic approach. I feel that it is important to find the right provider for you, someone that will provide you with the tools and support you need to overcome mental health barriers that might be preventing you from living your best and healthiest life. Trust your gut and find the right person that will work for your needs. I hope I get a chance to work with you! Amanda
