About me

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Maryland. I have over five years of experience working in community based health- in both inpatient and outpatient settings- providing individual, family, and group counseling. My clinical experiences include working with challenges surrounding anxiety and depression, in addition to complex trauma and grief. My counseling style is warm and empathic, keeping in mind that you are the expert on yourself. My goal is to be present as a guide and my objective will always be to create and maintain a safe space where you can share anything and everything- should you wish – free of judgment. I’d like you to think of our sessions together as your space to use however you feel is most beneficial to you. I value the importance of a holistic approach that considers your physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. My counseling approach is client-centered using therapeutic techniques from cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral and mindfulness- based therapies dependent on your individual needs and expectations. In order to ensure that our time together is both helpful and worthwhile for you, I encourage and am always open to feedback on your preferred counseling style and approach. Whether it feels like it or not, it takes an incredible amount of courage and strength to show up for yourself. You have already taken such an important first step. I look forward to working with you!
