About Alana

Hi! I’m Alana Woods 👋 - a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. I believe therapy should feel supportive, real, and comfortable (yes, even when we’re talking about hard stuff). I genuinely love helping people untangle life’s messier moments. My approach is to focus on your needs and strengths throughout the therapeutic process. I’m believe in transparency, collaboration, and building a strong therapeutic relationship-because therapy works best when you feel safe, heard, and understood. I truly believe that you already have the tools and strengths within you-even if right now it doesn’t feel that way. My job is to help you recognize your own resilience and meet the goals that align best with your life and future. Each person's journey to healing is unique. I’ve worked with children, teens, adults, families, and couples. I have significant experience in areas related to trauma, attachment, family and relational dynamics, substance use, and increasing feelings of self-esteem and wellbeing. I’m currently trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trust-Based Relational Intervention, and I also use tools from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, gestalt therapy, the Gottman Method, art therapy, and play therapy techniques. I believe you are the expert of your own story. It takes courage to want something different and to take that first step toward change-and I’ll be right there with you, reminding you that you don’t have to do this alone (and that it’s okay to laugh occasionally, even in therapy).
