At Special Olympics Texas – Houston, we strive to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and form a sense of community. We promote sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship among athletes, families, and the local community. With our unique Olympic-style sports program, we create a safe place for individuals to have fun and develop important life skills. Our goal is to spread respect, acceptance, and inclusion for everyone.
