The Hirsch Academy, established in 2005, is an innovative educational and nurturing environment focused on providing students with sensory, motor, and learning differences – such as Autism, ADHD, and others – with the support and understanding they need to thrive. Our philosophy is rooted in the DIR/Floortime model, which celebrates individual differences and focuses on creating opportunities for intellectual, social, and emotional growth through communication, self-empowerment, connections, and independence. Our teachers and staff are highly trained in developmental approaches such as social and emotional support, sensory integration, speech and language development, communication accommodations, visual spatial thinking, and occupational therapy. We want our students to be empowered to love learning, become problem solvers, and embrace challenges, so they can reach their full potential.
