About First Street Gallery Art Center

First Street Gallery Art Center is a unique workshop program for adults with developmental disabilities, who must be Regional Center clients. We offer instruction and training in painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, collage, assemblage, and creative writing, which are exhibited in our gallery and many other national and international sites. Our artists receive 60% of proceeds from the sale of their work. We also offer integrated community instruction in Social Skills, Self-Advocacy, Activities of Daily Living, Communication, and Independent Living Skills, to help individuals reach their artistic goals. Our mission is to demonstrate that human potential for creativity and artistic expression is not limited by physical or developmental challenges.
