Cedar Lake Lodge, located in New Castle, was founded in 1970 by Louisville-area parents of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With over 500 staff members and a yearly operating budget of over $30 million, Cedar Lake provides intensive supports and community-based support options to more than 250 people. With a faith-based approach, Cedar Lake is formally affiliated with the Lutheran Church and has been helping people since 1974.
