Brace Family YMCA

At the Brace Family YMCA, we are proud to be an anchor in Matthews area of Charlotte, serving over 20,000 members and program participants each year. Founded in 1997 and named in honor of the late Harry Brace, his wife Jean and their family, we strive to live up to our namesake by empowering youth to reach their potential, promoting healthy lifestyles, and providing opportunities to help our neighbors in need. Our wide selection of classes and activities – from group exercise to swim lessons – help make the Brace Family Y the ideal place for people of all ages and backgrounds to come together, have fun, and enjoy healthy living.
