Leonard A Rappaport, MD

Leonard A Rappaport MD, is a Senior Associate in Medicine at Childrens Hospital and Mary Deming Scott Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He has directed the Fellowships in General Pediatrics and Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics for 30 years, training over 100 fellows in DB Pediatrics and General Pediatrics. Dr Rappaport is Principal Investigator on one of nine federally funded training programs in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, and a member of a multidisciplinary research group in autism spectrum disorders and on the Steering Committee of the Autism Consortium of Boston. His research and teaching interests include encopresis, enuresis, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and recurrent pain in childhood. He had a small primary care pediatrics practice outside at Longwood Pediatrics for 27 years, before becoming division chief in January 2009.
